"The sixth sense: how can Psycho-Geography enrich the tourist experience?"
Chris is investigating the cultural issue of the tourist in the city. In the modern tourist culture the tourist has rejected their senses becoming bias towards sight and the camera. The camera with its unlimited storage capacity along with a fast moving urban culture has lead to a belief that a multitude of photographs will inevitably capture the sense of place. Exploration through Psycho-Geography and its principles of horizontal city walking combined with vertical reading of history is a key aspect in understanding this cultural issue. Consideration will also be taken into our association with the senses and the ideas of a sixth sense, a culmination of all our senses and experiences.
